The Vision to Serve

The Vision to Serve

By Christopher Headen

Christopher Headen, Master of Business Administration (MBA) ’07, takes a comprehensive look into what a life of public service truly is, and what every person can do to make a difference in The Vision to Serve. A dedicated public servant, Headen shares his own experience and the lessons learned from “ordinary” people whose simple actions have made them great leaders. Headen has served in the U.S. Air Force and has been a chief of staff to an elected official and an executive director for Meals on Wheels. He has also served at the White House in the Executive Office of the President. He currently works at the U.S. Department of State. The Vision to Serve is available through amazon.com.

God Kept Me

God Kept Me

By Lorrae Jordan

Lorrae Jordan, Master of Business Administration (MBA) ’11, recently released this personal reflection on difficult times. Having overcome great odds to succeed in higher education and life, the current doctoral student expresses this particular part of her journey in broken English because, at the time, she was “broken spiritually, mentally, physically, emotionally, soulfully, entirely.” In the book, Jordan comes to terms with how and why she was made to suffer and survive. “Through it all,” she says, “God kept me.” The book is available through godkeptlorrae.webs.com.
