University of Phoenix has partnered with the Council of Chief State School Officers National Teacher of the Year program again this year. Each state’s Teacher of the Year nominee proved to be an outstanding educator. The Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO) recognized them in late January. Now, it’s their turn to “teach forward” their award to another deserving individual. Through the Teaching It Forward scholarship program, each of these exceptional educators has the opportunity to nominate someone from their community for a full-tuition scholarship to University of Phoenix. Indiana Teacher of the Year Stacy M. McCormack selected Elkhart, Indiana, resident Matt Glynn to receive the Teaching It Forward scholarship. The Indianapolis Campus held a dinner on May 6 to recognize Glynn, who will be pursuing his master’s degree in Teacher Leadership.
